SupplyOne Acquires Specialty Container
May 12, 2010 Box BizDevon, Pa.-based SupplyOne, Inc. has purchased Specialty Container Corp. (SCC), Dallas. Terms weren’t disclosed. Serving the Dallas-Ft. Worth area for the past 59 years, SCC is a proven leader in commercial and industrial corrugated packaging. With a full suite of service offerings, including design, manufacturing, printing, storage, distribution, and fulfillment, SCC will complement the growing SupplyOne national footprint; providing customers with innovative, cost-effective packaging solutions aimed at improving their customer’s profitability.
Jack Dale founded SCC in 1951 with a vision to serve the packaging needs of the North Texas area. Over the years, SCC has built a long-term reputation for personal service, resulting in quality packaging solutions, and was the oldest operating independent corrugated sheet plant in the Southwest. Since its inception, customer care and satisfaction were the catalyst for SCC to become a premier corrugated supplier specializing in point-of-purchase displays. Robert Mulligan was named vice president and general manager of SCC in 2005 and will continue in his capacity.
Expanding in the Southwest through this acquisition, SupplyOne will continue offering its customers the broadest range of packaging products and services available today. In addition to traditional corrugated box packaging and state of the art design capabilities, the combined customer base will have full access to four-color graphics, displays, and label laminating.
