Commander Packaging Closes
September 30, 2009 By: Packaging online staff Box BizCorrugated container Commander Packaging Corp. suddenly closed its Monee, Ill., plant, which resulted in 35-50 employees losing their jobs, according to workers, the Daily-Journal reported.
The plant was closed with no warnings or speculation of a shutdown, the newspaper report. The company was formerly Kankakee Container Corp.
According to Commander Packaging’s website, the company is a full line corrugated sheet plant that manufactures an extensive line of corrugated products, including cartons and corrugated and fiberboard partitions.
