AICC and CPA Host Executive Conf and Briefing
August 16, 2008 Official Board MarketsThe Association of Independent Corrugated Converters (AICC), in collaboration with the Corrugated Packaging Alliance (CPA), will co-host a second “Sustainable Business Executive Briefing and Conference,” Oct. 22-23, at the Marriott O’Hare in Chicago.
The two-day program is designed for senior corrugated industry executives, especially those in sales and design. The program will focus on the industry’s work on sustainable packaging issues, the positive marketing aspects of corrugated sustainability, and how members can use this message effectively. The results of the corrugated industry’s life cycle analysis at Pack Expo also will be unveiled. The Executive Briefing and Conference is open to employees of all industry members.
Attendees will learn:
•The results and proper use of the corrugated industry Life Cycle Analysis (LCA);
•The results of the CPA’s communications and messaging strategy work: tools you can use while maintaining your individual company differentiation;
•The Federal Trade Commission’s Green Guides;
•Environmental certifications and the appropriate use of markings;
•An update from retailers: what new requirements will the corrugated industry be expected to meet?;
•Virgin or recycled, corrugated is the positive message of sustainable packaging;
•Finding sales opportunities through sustainable packaging;
•Creating the unbeatable sales/design team: improving teamwork to create sustainable packaging opportunities;
•Creating your company sustainable value added message;
•Sustainable marketing teams: what are they and how can they work for you? and
•How a new generation of customers affects packaging design.
