Coca-Cola Exec to Speak in Atlanta
August 16, 2008 Official Board MarketsScott Vitters, director of sustainable packaging for The Coca-Cola Co. will address attendees at the Association of Independent Corrugated Converters (AICC) 2008 Annual Meeting being held Sept. 24-26 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, in conjunction with the 2008 TAPPI Corrugated Packaging Division Conference, Sept. 22-24 and SuperCorrExpo 2008, Sept. 22-26.
On Friday, Sept. 25, Vitters will discuss Coca-Cola’s approach to driving growth through sustainable business practices and Coca-Cola’s efforts in influencing the corrugated packaging and product merchandising industries. He will also speak about trends in sustainable packaging and what Coca-Cola will be looking for in their packaging and raw material suppliers.
Vitters has worked to advance Coca-Cola’s environmental programs for more than 10 years. He currently is responsible for governing the company’s global sustainable packaging platform and ensuring its execution in North America. Scott is on the executive board of the National Recycling Coalition and is the chairman of the Beverage Packaging Environment Council. He also serves on the board of the Piedmont Park Conservancy in Atlanta.
