Containerboard Confab Lineup Revealed

The 13th International Containerboard Conference, Nov. 12-14 at the Chicago Marriott in Chicago, reports its theme is “Surviving the Current Economic Challenges” and has revealed its speakers for the conference.

The speakers and topics include:

•Changing World Containerboard Market, given by Carol Roberts, senior vice president, Industrial Packaging, International Paper;

•How Investors Look at Containerboard Companies, given by Mark Weintraub, senior vice president, Buckingham Research;

•Europe: Containerboard Supply/Demand Outlook, given by Tony Smurfit, group coo, Smurfit-Kappa;

•Trends in European Box Markets: Challenges and Opportunities, given by John Williams, president of SCA Packaging Europe, and president of FEFCO (European Federation of Corrugated Board Manufacturers);

•Latin America – New Era of Sustained Growth, given by Andres Patino, Barnett Corp.;

•Lightweight Containerboards: Fiction or Reality? Given by Simon Southern, managing director, Packaging Research Intelligence Strategies & Marketing (PRISM);

•Panel Discussion with Ralph Young, Principal, Alternative Paper Solutions as the moderator.
