IPG Holds Meeting After drupa
August 9, 2008 Official Board MarketsThe International Packaging Group (IPG) held its Annual Technical Meeting June 11-13 immediately following drupa. Acket, a folding carton member from Sint-Michielsgestel, Holland, hosted the meeting. The 62 participants spent three days studying the science of offset printing and converting.
The organization includes 28 member companies from around the globe including North American members Jones Packaging, London, Ontario, and Keller Crescent, Evansville, Ind. Associate partners Bobst, Heidelberg, Manroland, Esko Graphics, Sun Chemical and International Paper organized private tours and presentations at drupa.
There was a special session on pre-press and a review of their productivity survey, which focused on maintenance. The group toured the Acket plant and discussed their findings at drupa. IPG meets twice a year with hosting rotated among the members.
