October 11, 2008 Official Board MarketsMembers of the Association of Independent Corrugated Converters(AICC) elected officers and directors at the association’s annual meeting held in Atlanta, Sept. 24-26. The slate was approved by acclamation during the closing general session of the meeting. The voting members of the board of directors are officers or employees of AICC’s regular company members, and AICC’s Associate members are represented by one voting member. AICC’s officers for 2008-2009 are:

Phil Almond has been named president of SCA Packaging Europe. He succeeds John Williams who has accepted a position elsewhere. Almond is currently responsible for the corrugated business in the Middle Europe region. He has been employed at SCA packaging since 1993 where he has held leading positions. He will begin his new position Nov. 1.
Myles Cohen has been named president of Pratt Recycling. Cohen will be responsible for Pratt’s network of recycling plants, its material recovery facilities throughout the U.S., as well as directing the sourcing for Pratt’s three 100 percent recycled paper mills. This includes its newest recycled containerboard mill, which will soon be operating in Shreveport, La. Additionally, he will lead Pratt's “close-the-loop” initiative which helps the company's customers with their environmental sustainability initiatives. Prior to joining Pratt, He held several senior management positions at Sonoco Products Co. He will be based in Conyers, Ga. at Pratt Industries’ headquarters.
