Unisource Hosts Sustainability Symposium
August 16, 2008 Official Board MarketsMore than 90 decision-makers from Unisource Worldwide, Inc., and suppliers throughout the U.S. attended the Supplier Sustainability Symposium July 21 and 22 at the Emory Conference Center in Atlanta, hosted by Unisource, a paper and packaging distributor based in Norcross, Ga.
The event delivered key messages with information and guidelines on sustainability. Presenters included industry experts, as well as the senior leadership team at Unisource. Unisource CEO Al Dragone gave the keynote address. Victor Bell, president, Environmental Packaging International, detailed “Emerging Customer Requirements for Environmental Data Modeling,” and Stephen Ashkin, president and founder, The Ashkin Group, discussed “The Evolution of Green Cleaning: LEED 2008 Labeling Trends.”
Unisource is internally implementing new processes to achieve cleaner, healthier facilities and “greener” operations.
