VPK to Invest $311 in European Mill

Belgium-based VPK Packaging Group plans to invest approximately $311 million to build a recycled corrugated mill in Europe. The mill will be built in either Germany or Poland and is expected to be running by 2011, brining VPK’s capacity to 800,000 metric tons.

The company also plans to have its new production facility in Romania open by the third quarter of this year. That mill will produce corrugated board and corrugated tubes.
