What's New for Box Makers?

March 1, 2009 By: Mark Arzoumanian Paperboard Packaging

At February's Chicago TAPPI meeting in Oak Brook, Ill., approximately 120 attendees had the opportunity to learn about some of the latest innovations in box making. The evening's eight speakers had seven minutes each to discuss their new products, which included:

  • 1. A mesh belt roll track from C&M Conveyors Inc. It's a continuous belt feed system that eliminates roll dollies, making roll changeovers faster. Rolls can be automatically indexed, staged on the floor, and continually loaded. For more information, visit www.cmconveyor.com|~www.cmconveyor.com/ .

  • 4. The Falcon flexo folder-gluer from Isowa. Vacuum transfer with specially coated nonslip rollers eliminates sheet skewing and sheet crushing problems. • 5. An on-demand box making machine from IMG Klett (represented by The Haire Group in the U.S.). More than 120 box styles can be created without the need for dieboards. It can smoothly handle A-flute triplewall. For more information, visit www.hairegroup.com|~www.hairegroup.com/ .
